How to prevent pimples

pimples You’re just about ready for that big date when what do you see in your mirror? A pimple!

Yes, that nasty zit can ruin any occasion. You can avoid most pimples however, if you follow a regular regimen of diet, exercise, and skin care.

First, eat a healthy diet of lots of fresh vegetables and fruits, whole grains and nuts, low-fat dairy and lean protein. Most of all, drink 6 to 8 glasses of water every day. The human body is 75 percent water, and we need plenty of it to flush the toxins of our environment out of our systems.

Be sure to get regular exercise every day, even if it’s only a brisk 30-minute walk. Getting your blood pumping and the perspiration pouring is good for your whole body, especially for flushing out nasty things that can cause pimples.

Next, pay attention to your skin care. Cleanse, tone and moisturize twice daily, whether you’re a girl or a guy. Yes, guys need moisturizing, too, and so few of them get it. A daily skin care regimen will keep away those zits.

If you do get a pimple despite everything – sometimes they result from stress, too – don’t pop that zit! Squeezing the pore will open it to infection and could leave a scar. Instead, try one of the following natural remedies.

Crush mint leaves and apply them to your face, but don’t rub! Let the leaves cool your skin for 10-15 minutes.
Make a facial mask by combining Indian fuller’s earth with rose water. Apply once a week to oily skin and allow to dry, then rinse off gently. Don’t use more than once a week.

Boil neem leaves in water until the water turns slightly green, then mix with cold water and add to your bath. Neem has antibacterial and antifungal properties to relieve skin irritations.

Use ice on a pimple to reduce swelling. If you’ve popped it, definitely use ice and splash on some astringent to avoid infection.

Wash your face with cold water at least twice or thrice a day and whenever you come back for outside.

Mix tomato juice with a little honey and apply as a facial mask for 10-15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. Don’t use this mixture if your skin is sensitive.

Peel an apple and crush the fruit into a pulp. Mix with a small amount of honey. Apply this fruit mask to your face for 15 to 20 minutes, and then wash off with lukewarm water. It will help get rid of pimples.
