With technological strides being made everyday, more and more people are finding that they can just pick up a camera and shoot pictures of whatever catches their fancy. And, never was taking photos made easier than with easy to shoot and easy to focus digital cameras. If, your photos, whether they are celebrity photos or funny photos don’t come out well, all you have to do is delete and make room for more. You can ensure your photo gallery carries only perfectly shot pictures that wouldn’t look out of place in a photo calendar.
While, that may be, what if you are the focus of someone else’s digital camera! Knowing how to look good for photo shoots comes easy for models, but if you are camera shy but need a good photo for your personal ad. or to post on an online blog looking your personable best, you need to know how to post for photos. While being photogenic just comes naturally to some people, one can look better in photos with certain tricks that will stop you from running for cover, whenever the camera comes out. The following tips will stop you from looking clumsy, awkward and self-conscious.
As every pretty model will tell you, Stand up Pretty i.e. stand up straight, not straight military style but naturally straight. It’s pretty easy, all you have to do is imagine that a cord is hanging from the very top of your head and you have to ensure it falls in a straight line. Imagine this and you will elongate your neck and see to it that your ears and shoulders are separate from each other. Last but not least, tuck in your tummy well.
Girls who are posing for pictures for their boyfriends, they should arch their shoulders slightly to make their breasts look their perky best. Place one leg in front of the other, Eva Longoria, Halle Berry style. You will find this helps them look longer. Knees should be a slightly bent, without locking them and point your feet in front. Shoulders should rotate three-fourths to the front to make you and your waist look slimmer.
Wear colours that suit you. Hide your blemishes. Determine your best angle. Get rid of a double chin by tilting your head down slightly and positioning yourself so that the camera is above your eye level. Exhale, don’t hold your breath in and think happy thoughts to put a natural smile on your face. Always look slightly above the camera when the picture is taken to reduce the red eye effect, a technique always used by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis for photographs and portraits. Smile with the eyes, tilt your chin ever so slightly, look directly into the camera’s lens. Imagine it is your boyfriend as you flirt with it. Smile seductively, and I’m sure you’ll be pleased with the results of your posing for photos.
Once you get the hang of it, your picture perfect photos will no doubt make it to your photo album or you can make photo mugs as a photo gift for family and friends!
