Haven’t you ever smelled a fragrance and you just knew that if you were a perfume that this one would be you? Now these essential oils could set you back a dollar or two, but don’t panic, you need only a drop or two of jasmine, for example, to infuse a bottle of really luxurious perfume. Unlike many store bought perfumes you can be sure that you are buying the real thing. Because it’s easy to make, solid perfume opens the door to experimentation, creativity and individuality.
Whether you’re looking to set yourself apart with a unique scent or you’re not so fond of the alcoholic undertones in most liquid perfumes, these instructions will show you how to create an inexpensive alternative. The ingredients in a bottle of store bought perfume or cologne cost about ten percent of the retail price, the rest is in packaging, advertising, sales profit, and tax.
Now wouldn’t you rather put your money into really exotic essential oils that you could afford, by simply making your own perfume, if yes, lest us look at one of the most basic Perfume Recipes here –
How to make perfume - the ingredients required
· 2 cups of plain fresh water
· 2 cup fresh chopped flower blossoms (you might want to use such flowers as lavenders, lilac, orange blossoms or honeysuckle; it all depends upon you choice and taste).
How to make perfume – directions:
The first step is to take a bowl and put a cheesecloth (make sure that the edges of the cloth hang over the side of the bowl) and then fill this with a cup of flower blossoms (you select) and then pour water over them until they get completely covered. The next step is covering the bowl and allowing it to sit overnight.
In the next morning, take hold of the edges of the cheesecloth hanging over the side of the bowl and lift it up, then gently squeeze the scented water produced into a small pot. You now require to place this water into a pot and allow it to simmer until there is about a teaspoon left of the liquid and then allow the solution to cool, and place it in a small bottle. Please take a note that perfume made this way normally has a shelf life of about 1 month.
