March 30, 2009
Our days are full of chemicals and pollution. You are always tired reaching home and find refreshment while taking a bath or just washing your face and hands. You are easily affected by the pollution outside and numerous diseases that are also awaiting you.
It is more pathetic that when you try to wash out all the dust particles that hover over the pores on your skin, the soaps you are using and believe to be effective may affect you much more. The numerous chemicals contained in the commercial soaps available in the markets today are dangerous to your skin. Is there any alternative? Organic soaps are the group you can rely upon.
You can make your own organic soaps at home. The following tips will lead you to make an organic soap cheaply but effectively.
Raw materials for Organic soaps:
Oils and herbs, lye, blanket, hand mixer, pure water, thermometer, stainless steel pots, natural scents and butter.
Directions:
1. Buy the various raw materials needed to make organic soap. The ingredients can easily be found, as they are very popular.
2. You should attempt to buy the exact amount of material as instructed. Having less will do you no good and having too much may present problems.
3. Exercise caution when performing this step. Take some quantity of lye in a stainless steel vessel and mix it with water. Quite rapidly, a high temperature, around 200 degrees Fahrenheit, will be produced inside the vessel.
4. Let the vessel sit untouched for some time and note when the temperature lowers to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
5. Take organic vegetable oils and butter in a second stainless steel vessel, and heat them up to 100 degree Fahrenheit. Ensure they are well mixed and turn off the heat.
6. Now you mix the above two solutions together. To this final mixture, you add exotic oils. You can use a hand mixer for blending them efficiently.
7. To this finely mixed solution, you add essential oils and herbs.
8. Now transfer the mixer onto soap mould and let it sit untouched for at least 24 hours.
9. Get soap out of the mould and try any design you want while chopping its edges. Keep the soaps for one month before use, to allow them to dry out and harden properly.
