How To Make An Infant Toy

Making toy for an infant baby can be a very rewarding experience indeed. It is in fact, quite easy to make an energizing toy for an infant. One can use simple everyday household materials to make these toys. These toys are inexpensive and can easily be personalized according to your own requirements.
To make a soft crinkle ball simply take an old clean sock, fill it with used tissue paper, and sew or knot shut. The sock ball will be small enough for little hands and make a great crinkling sound. This is one of the best homemade infant toys; babies love the crinkle sound. Grab an old coffee can for a loud noise maker. A smaller round tin hot cocoa container is a better size if you have one. Fill with small pebbles and hot glue the lid on. You don’t want the lid coming off! When you roll this across the floor it will make a great noise that any baby will love to crawl after.
Another useful method for how to make an infant toy includes taking any rattle, even if it’s old and dull and then, tie some bright colored ribbons to it leaving ends free to flutter. This addition turns any old rattles into powerful and visually attractive educational infant toys. One or twice a day take the rattle and move it in font of Baby’s eyes… approximately 30cm (12″) away. You may have to shake the rattle to initially draw attention to it.
Once the baby looks at the rattle, move it slowly to one side of his vision. Look if Baby follows the rattle. Initially Baby’s eyes make big jerks and refocuses on the rattle. With perseverance Baby accurately follows the rattle. After doing this exercise, reward Baby by placing the rattle in his hand. With exercise, Baby will continuously follow the rattle, even after placing it in his hand.
