How to look thinner
June 6, 2008
There is no need to worry too much if your weight loss program is going along slowly. That is often the case. If you want to give yourself a boost, though, and at least look thinner, there are a few tips that may help you. There is no harm in a bit of illusion, especially if it can boost your confidence. Here are just a few of the tips to look thinner
Get some good underwear! This is true if you are thin, but doubly or triply true if you are voluptuous. There is no need to bore you with the good foundation undergarments shtick, but believe that get fitted for bras, and if you have a lovely pair of coconuts make sure they are well supported.
You can yearn after bras with spaghetti straps but they won’t do you any good. Know where to shop - M&S for lingerie on the days you know no-one will see it, La Senza, Debenhams Shapely or Fantasie for the days when someone might. If you worry about your waistline, try some jeans or pants that sit low on your hips, as they will slenderize your trouble spot.
Slacks that have a waist that hit just below your navel will make your midriff seem longer and slimmer. If you’re burdened with a belly bulge, choose relaxed fit jeans. The elasticized waist may help tame that bothersome tummy. Pleat-fronted pants will balloon your middle, so they’re a definite do not. Flat front and side-zip styles are a do. In order to learn how to look thinner, learn that where you are thin, wear warm or bright colors; if you have small shoulders and are small-busted; wear pastels to spotlight these thin areas. Never wear a tight belt that forces bulges above or below it and do not wear anything with a tight elastic waistband and your legs will look longer and thinner if you wear sling back and backless shoes rather than pumps.
Exercising regularly is also a great way for how to look thinner. If you are really overweight (as opposed to those stick-thin girls you want to murder who obsess about losing four pounds) then chances are you do not exercise. And chances also are that you have an inactive life - you probably do not do a weekly aerobics class, you would rather take a cab than walk half a mile, maybe you feel a little lethargic. None of this is good for your general well being.
If you want to know how to look thinner, get into the active habit - take the stairs not the lift, if it is sunny, walk, if you live anywhere inside zone two do not even think about driving short distances. Start behaving like you own your body and want to lovingly maintain it, rather than feeling it is on loan whilst you wait to exchange it for the newer/thinner model.
