Hemorrhoids can affect anyone. This very uncomfortable condition is linked to constipation. But how do you know that you have them? There are a lot of pictures that you can find online. These photos show different stages of severity, and for an uninformed eye it is hard to see the difference between them. But with a little practice you too can see the difference in the severity and know where you stand and know how severe your condition may be in order to get the best treatment.

Hemorrhoids can be external and internal. The external ones appear outside the anus and are visible. The internal ones are not visible because they occur inside the rectum. But sometimes, in more severe stages, the internal hemorrhoids can protrude outside, making them visible. The severe stages of external hemorrhoids lead to thrombosis for some and the severe internal form of hemorrhoids are prolapsed.

You will mostly find pictures of external hemorrhoids because they are easier to see, but you may find images of internal ones. This can’t help you much with your diagnosis.

Hemorrhoids can appear as a small or large red lump that can sometimes become purple. But be careful because you could be confusing hemorrhoid symptoms with other conditions. Illnesses that have similar symptoms are anorectal conditions, inflammatory bowel diseases, sexually transmitted diseases, polyps and cancer. It is advisable for you to consult your doctor before jumping to any conclusions.

But if you are diagnosed with hemorrhoids, don’t panic because there are treatments that can ease the pain and even cure this condition. Modern medicine can provide many options that can relieve the pain and discomfort. The most commonly treatments used are ointments, but there are surgical procedures as well. You only have to choose which one is best for you in order to get cured.

For some people medications, creams and ointments are the best treatment, relieving pain if used regularly over time. For others, these alternatives don’t work as expected, providing only short-term results. They have to make different choices. You should find the perfect combination that suits you best in order to get pain relief.
