Both of you are serious with your relationship and you know he is the right man for you. Now you want to marry him but the guy doesn’t seem to be in hurry. This may be a frustrating situation for you. In this situation, you don’t want to propose to him yourself but you want to do anything possible to get your boyfriend to propose to you. For this you need to work tactfully.
You might try the following tips:
1) Make your boyfriend aware that you are now interested in lifetime commitment. Give him clues about your feelings it in a very subtle way.
2) If you bombard him with your feeling to get married, he won’t like it.
3) To express your feelings point out your common interests. This will help you to make him recognize that you can be a good couple together.
4) Just saying things is not to enough. You need to work hard for it. You need to show him that you are concerned about him, you love him and you care. It’s not at all tough. Just cook for him, be nice to his family.
5) Try to be empathetic. Be kind and sincere to him.
6) Most of the guys wait for the opportunity. You can create opportunities by planning an outing, going for a movie, etc
7) Touch the topic of marriage in general but be sure that you don’t talk about marriage every time you are together. Encourage him also to share his thoughts and plans regarding marriage.
8) You can talk about the couples that have shared the same relationship with each other as you share with your boyfriend and now are happily married. Point out how you wish the same thing happens to you too.
9) To impress someone we should always praise them. Do the same thing. Praise your boyfriend. If you don’t want to praise him directly, you can use the aide of your friends. Hints from common friends help a lot.
10) The last but the most important tip is to never lose your patience. It may take a long time to get your boyfriend to propose to you but better late than never.
