After a shower, some times the water gets stuck in your ear. It happens due to the minor contraction of the ear canal a tube that runs from the outer ear to the inner. The minor ear canal contraction can happen due to the ear wax.
Due to swimming too, one can suffer from this problem, usually referred to as swimmer’s ear. It can lead to pain, sensitivity in ear movement, negative impact on hearing, yellow discharge form the ear, changes in ear wax color and the feeling of stuffiness in the ear. Water in the ear can have harmful effects and can cause physical as well as mental distress in a person.One can get rid of water in the ear through few home remedies.
The best way to deal with the problem of water in the ear is by allowing it to move out naturally through force of gravity. This can be accelerated by light movement in the jaw. One can also tilt his or her head at an angle of forty five to sixty degrees so as to allow the water to drain out naturally. Hair dryer can also be used to get rid of the water, as it leads to the evaporation of the water stuck in the ear. Chewing a gum can also help one in getting rid of the ear water.
So as to deal with the swimmer’s ear one can place few drops of vinegar upon the ears for five minutes and then one can lower the ear so as to channel out the water from the ear. This activity should be done twice a day and helps one from preventing the occurrence of bacterial and fungal infections. After a shower or swimming so as to prevent any infection caused by the water in the ear one can put few drops of apple cider vinegar that should be diluted in water or alcohol.
One can also put some warm baby oil in the ears through an ear dropper. To avoid the draining out of oil one must put cotton balls in the ear. White vinegar, peroxide and water when mixed in equal proportion can be put in the ear for a minute and then allowed to drain out. After this one can put cotton balls in the ears.
