The most important consideration is to know and understand the texture of your hair. Your wedding is not the time to experiment with new styles that don’t suit your texture.
For example, if you have straight and thick hair it would be unwise to select a style that calls for curls. Likewise, a straight hairstyle for someone with naturally curly hair will prove impractical.
If you choose a style that goes against the natural shape and flow of your hair will make it difficult to maintain the hairstyle during the various activities associated with your wedding.
Whether to wear your hair up or down is a decision largely governed by your personality and the design of your dress. If you don’t normally wear your hair up it is unwise to select that style as it may make you self-conscious.
