How Healthy Is Your Pregnant Wife
As family today consists of husband and wife with or without children unlike 80’s family where atleast six to seven or more family members used to live together. Mother –in-laws used to look after her daughter-in-laws when they become pregnant but the family pattern has changed and nuclear family is prevalent where only husband and wife live together.
So it is the husband who has to look after his wife during pregnancy. He should see that she is taking all the nutrients and other healthy foods which are required for a pregnant woman.
Make her eat and take all these food items. Such as milk which is the most important component of mother’s nutritional diet. Pregnant woman should be given ten times more protein than the normal women. It is very important for her to feed her baby.
She should not suffer from iron deficiency; lack of iron may lead to anemic child birth. The intake of iron for a pregnant woman is thirty milligram per day. So see that your wife is served adequate amount of iron. Let her eat rich calcium fruits for her well being and her baby.
Serve her fresh vegetables and fruits. The intake should be everyday it should not be like keeping gape for many days and then take the foods. She must eat every day whatever is required for her and for her baby. Drink milk everyday twice.
Fish is very rich in protein and give her whenever you can.
Besides all the nutritional foods and drinks, please tell her to drink plenty of water. Drinking water has got tremendous benefit for her and her child.
Folic acid is yet another food item for your wife. The maximum requirement of this is four hundred micrograms more than the normal woman.
If you are serving her all these foods then you need not worry.
