Home Remedies For Acne Scars
A paste of sandalwood and black gram powder made into a paste helps to diminish the effects of acne scars.
Another effective home remedy for acne scars is a paste of sandalwood and rose water, which should be applied on the scars and left on overnight. Next morning wash off with cold water.
A mix of cucumber and lemon juice applied to the scars helps lighten them, as does a mixture of honey and lemon juice. However, for people with oily skin, honey is not recommended.
A paste of gram flour, curd, turmeric and lemon juice applied to the scars, helps get rid of them.
A few aspirins dissolved in apple cider vinegar and water, then applied to the face and left on for 10-minutes before rinsing with cold water is an unusual treatment that works to remove facial and other body scars. After, moisturize the face by applying Vitamin E oil all over it. Follow this treatment for a week, taking care to use a good moisturizing lotion as to counteract the drying effect of aspirin.
One tablespoon each of sour cream, yogurt, grinded oatmeal and few drops of lemon juice mixed together and applied on the scars for 10 minutes before rinsing works well. Baking soda paste gently rubbed on scars for sixty seconds and rinsed off, is as effective as micro dermabrasion treatment. Smashed pineapple applied to the face and left on for 10 minutes, then washed off with warm water helps fade acne scars as pineapple contains ascorbic acid.
Home Remedies For Chicken Pox Scars
Honey is very effective in removing chicken pox scars and when applied to them, provides instant relief.
Vitamin E oil with its many benefits; works wonders when applied to scarred skin.
Sandalwood oil applied from the time the time the chicken pox rash breaks out is useful in reducing the scarring effect of the chicken pox.
Black Abil Powder applied over chicken pox rash prevents scarring and helps to fade the marks,
Deep scars can be prevented by applying aloe vera gel, cod liver oil or Vitamin E oil.
To prevent deepening of the scars apply aloe vera gel, cod liver oil or vitamin E oil.
Home Remedies for Skin Infection Scars
An oil massage helps stimulate tissues and revive skin which helps in removing scars that result from skin infections.
An application of Cocoa butter is also useful in getting rid of scars.
Wheatgrass spray also helps to reduce effects of scars on the body.
