Hey all you teenagers out there, are you still dependent on your parents for buying those smart pair of shoes for yourself? You’ll be surprised to read that there is a shrink in percentage of young people who still rely on their parent’s earning for their luxurious living. Most teenagers have find out great opportunities to get rid of their dependency on their family for their pocket money.
Teenager today have started realizing their responsibility and rely more on their talents and hard work for earning those extra bucks. This makes them feel proud of themselves. Plus they also understand the value of money at their young age itself. Isn’t that wonderful news for all those anxious parents?
Whether it is the western idea that teens should work their way through the check-out counter, or simply the rocketing prices of clothes, electronics and what not, the youth seem to have gained a bit of conscience when it comes to their spending habits. Isn’t this great?
With this concept, the independence swings both sides. While these youngsters get the freedom to go out for late night parties and enjoy with their pals, parents also finds an interesting way to make their children plea for a more ‘mature treatment’. Thus, this works for both of them in a wonderful way.
Though this concept do not hold a good stand in all homes. Some parents says ‘we earn enough to provide for our children’s would not like them going out and working while they are still in college. Once they are over with their college, they can find job for themselves.’ but still earning while learning helps teenagers to become money conscious, plus gives them an early start in their careers. And yes of course, it also counts in your resume too at the time of jobs.
