What is a hangover?
If you consume alcohol more than the body is able to break down comfortably, you get a hangover. All that alcohol you filled yourself with will show up as a hangover. It will relax the blood vessels and hence you get a headache. It can cause nausea, diarrhoea and even make you terribly thirsty.

Beat up some eggs
Eggs are sources of cysteine. It is an amino acid, which helps to enhance liver function and hence, your body will be able to digest the extra alcohol faster.
Go for some ginseng
This will help to get rid of that lethargic feeling you get with hangovers. If you take it at the start of your drinking spree, it will help to fasten alcohol break down. If you take it the day after, you can get energised.
Drink something sporty
Sports drinks have lots of minerals, potassium and carbohydrates. They will hydrate you and also energise you.
Get some fruit juice
Fruit juice contains sugar and vitamins, just the thing you need to get energised.
Take some vitamins
While Vitamin B will help in alcohol metabolism and dilation of blood vessels, vitamin C will enhance liver function for alcohol breakdown.
Take some painkillers
You can take some painkillers. However, you should beware of some that can harm your body.
Drink some water
Water will hydrate your body and you can get over the dehydration that alcohol causes.
Do have any dairy products
Although dairy products do contain some vitamins, guzzling down a glass full of milk may not be the best idea.
Do not go for coffee
Although coffee may give a boost for a little while, remember that it will wear off. And when it does, you will end up feeling worse than before.
