Hair styling-Blow drying

Blow-drying can help you beyond simply drying your hair. You can style your hair with ease and keep it set with the help of a blow dryer. It has multiple uses and forms an essential part of the hair styling kit. However, blow-drying can be quite a job. If done properly, you can achieve a great look; however, you can end up damaging your hair if you do not do it the right way. Here are some directions that you can follow while blow-drying your hair.
Clean and condition
Wash the hair with shampoo really well and then also use conditioner. The conditioner will ensure that your hair is well protected and nourished so that it can stand the impact of blow-drying and not get damaged.
Comb and Dry
The hair after a wash needs to be combed to remove the curls and curves of the hair. Also after this is done, dry a bit of the hair so that it is semi dry. When you comb, use a wide toothed comb to detangle with ease while not causing any hair to be pulled out.
Mousse Application
Take ample quantity of mousse on your hand and with the other hand apply the mousse so that it covers whole of the hair from the top to the bottom.
Blow-drying your hair
Now, divide your hair in two sections. Clip the top and sides together so that they are out of the way. You can now start working on the hair that is left free.
Take a small section at a time and holding the dryer in one hand, place the brush underneath the hair at the roots. Keep the hair taut, but do not put a lot of pressure on them. Now, direct the air flow from the dryer by moving the brush towards the ends.
You can get a slight bend at the ends by curving your brush a little bit at the ends. You should first finish drying the roots. To do this, keep returning to the roots once you have moved down the length of the hair. Do this until the section of the hair is dry.
When you finish with the back section, you can release the hair from the top and sides and dry it in the same way.
You can do this until all your hair is dry. Then finish by smoothing a few drops of serum to flatten any flyaway ends.
Some tips
Start with the highest heat so that all the excess moisture is removed. Then you can switch to medium to finish the drying.
Always point the airflow downwards. Doing this will smoothen the cuticles and make your hair shine.
Before moving to the next section, ensure that the section of hair that you are working on is completely dry.
