The actress better known for the love story movie Titanic has walked the red carpet with her yet another success story. The British actress has added another feather in her cape earning the Best Actress Award in the Oscar finale of the year.
he has acted in many good movies like”Rreader” for which she has won the award, with her old time favorite paired with Leonardo Caprio in Revolutionary road, Sense and sensibility, Little children, and in other couple of movies. She is a good and marvelous actress. You would be surprised to know besides, her acting skill she is also a good singer. She has been nominated for six academy awards.
A bit of her personal life story, you must have not known before. When Titanic’s success function was celebrating she was attending her five year relationship man’s funeral service who died of bone cancer. Later she had married to director Jim Threapleton.
Now they have a daughter whose name is “Mia Honey”. This marriage did not last long as they divorced in 2001. Now she lives with Sam Mendes in New York City. He is the director who directed Revolutionary Road.
Kate has many reasons to smile as she has been even awarded for best actress in BAFTA function ceremony. Her singing career has also touched the success as she sang “What if” from the sound tract of Christmas carol: the movie. She also made movie video for the song she sang.
She also sang for the movie in 2006, Romance and Cigarettes. For her movie “Heavenly creature’ soundtrack she has recorded her own song. She was also considered for the lead role and singer in Moulin Rough later which was given to Nicol Kidman. Had she taken the role she would have sang the entire soundtrack.
