Get acquainted with your four month old baby

There are various things you need to know as your baby turns four months old.
The five basic things that you will have to know about your baby who is four months old are
You will experience immense pleasure to see your baby smile with joy and fourth month is the age when this joyous occasion will take place. You can tickle his feet, mummer a funny song into his tiny ears, recite a funny joke and you will find your cute little baby bursting into clang of laughter.
1. Get acquainted with your four-month old baby, as you will notice your baby eating less as his tummy becomes big in size and can store more milk. Obviously, this decrease in feeds is very much significant- in case of breast feeding your baby will take six to eight feeds daily. On the other hand, a baby drinking bottle milk will take only four to five feeds.
2. At this age, your baby will develop and start understanding languages properly although it is too early for him to speak. He will be able to comprehend and understand common sounds you make to him and will appreciate if you chat with your baby babbling, echoing and mimicking the sounds familiar to him.
3. Get acquainted with your four-month old baby as your baby becomes familiar and starts recognizing his mother and father, sisters and brothers. The other side to this is that he becomes aware of the presence of strangers around and becomes very cautious when they are around.
4. Your baby will be able to pick up his toys and most of the times he will make use of both his hands to pick them up. He stops making use of his thumb in order to lift things, he holds his fingers and closes it to form the structure of a fist to hold the things there.
5. Once he gets an object in his hand, the first thing he wants to do with it is suck it which is often confused with teething or hunger-it is not. He is just trying to get acquainted with the object. The mouth of the baby is very sensitive due to which holding things in the mouth make him learn about the object in a better way.
At the age of four months, he becomes familiar with your regular sounds and can converse with you.
