Fixing damaged hair

One of the best ways to take care of your hair is to use the right type of conditioner. If you have dry and damaged hair, it is suggested that you use a deep conditioner.
You can either visit a salon to get this done or you can do it by yourself at home. Select a deep conditioner that is rich in keratin, which can work wonders on dry and frizzy hair.
You will need to apply the conditioner on wet hair for maximum results. While washing your hair take a little conditioner in your hand and rub it well into your hair using your fingers and let it stand for 10 minutes.
This ensures that the conditioner is absorbed well in to the hair shaft thus keeping your hair healthy and soft.
Apply it twice a week initially until your hair reaches the normal texture and then limit the application to just once a week.
In addition to keratin, make sure that the conditioner also contains cetyl alcohol.
This chemical has fatty acid that helps to retain the moisture in the hair, which is extremely important for dry and frizzy hair.
This product also needs to be applied on wet hair and then drying it for about 15 minutes using a blow dryer. Once that it done, wash you hair again to remove the conditioner and then feel you hair. It feels amazingly soft!!
If you have time on hand, you can prepare your own conditioner mix to maintain your hair better. Blend two teaspoons each of plain conditioner, a leave-in conditioner, deep conditioner and hair mask together. Apply this to your hair and wrap it with a warm towel.
Keep changing the warm towel every 2-3 minutes for a maximum 15 minutes. Then wash off your hair and feel it. Your hair will shower you with blessings. It is recommended that you do this at least once a week for best results.
A lot of people wash their hair daily thinking it will be good for the hair. Instead, it is vice versa. Washing your hair often damages your hair. Instead limit hair wash to just twice or thrice a week thereby giving time for your damaged hair to repair itself.
