Five Tips on How to Have Healthy Aging Skin

skinhealthyIt is common for skin to age, as you grow older. There are some people who do not have such problems. Their skin seems to age well and show no signs of strain and stress.

Here are some tips and tricks that have been shared by some such people. These can be easily followed to obtain healthy and glowing skin at all ages. All it requires is patience, change in lifestyle and healthy habits to make it work. It will keep your skin glowing and radiant.

1. Washing your face gently. The face has delicate skin. It is not meant to be scrubbed on and scoured. We often tend to use exfoliates and scrub the face roughly.

This can cause abrasions on the skin surface and cause long-term damage. The best way to clean facial skin is to wash it gently and further pat dry the skin instead of rubbing it down. This is sufficient to remove the grime.

2. Using a good moisturizer: A good moisturizer is the best way to treat skin. It hydrates and moisturizes the skin and keeps it supple. The best time to apply a moisturizer is soon after a bath.

This way, it locks the moisture in and keeps the skin glowing. Dry skin leads to fine lines and wrinkles. Moisturizing it is the best way to prevent wrinkles.

3. Avoid sun exposure: UVA and UVB rays cause permanent skin damage. It is best to avoid the sun. If this is not possible, it is best to protect the skin using a scarf, hat or sunglasses.

Use a sunscreen lotion with an SPF of 15 or more to prevent skin damage, fine lines and wrinkles. Use waterproof sunscreen lotions if you are going swimming to further protect your skin.

4. Shave carefully: shaving along the direction of hair growth is a good way to protect the skin from abrasions and pigmentation and ingrown hair. All of these damage the skin and cause it to age quickly.

Choosing shaving lotions and creams that are gentle on the skin is important. In case of any rash, discontinue using the product.

5. Use natural skin care products: products with active natural ingredients are best for the skin. Harsh chemicals can damage the skin. Effective ingredients can be found off your kitchen shelf to assist in having radiant skin.
