First Date Guidelines

So the person of your dreams has given you the green signal and you are planning to take the person out on a date. You very own first date, sounds exciting doesn’t it? Well, it sure is. As exciting as it may seem, it is also very complicated in a way. This is very curtailed and what impression your date will have about you depends on this meeting.
Now that it is a matter of reputation, what do you do then? There is no magic formula that will make things easy for you. But not to be disappointed, as there are some guidelines that can help you. But remember, they are just guidelines, so no one can guarantee that they will work for sure.
Before you head out, take some time to reflect on what you are really looking for. Do you wish to have a lifetime serious relationship, or it is just for fun? Whatever is in your mind, let your date know about it. Because you do not want your date to misconstrue the whole thing and have wrong ideas about you. It is always good to be transparent.
Now try and figure out how you wish to spend time with your date. The best thing to do on the first date is to talk and get to know each other. And avoid doing things you do not wish to do with your date. For example, if you do not have any intension of making out, do not give the idea that you do. That will only embarrass you.
While you are talking and getting know each other, ask yourself, how much information do you want to share? Do not be too cold, but at the same time do not give away too much information. If your date asks about your ex, answer nicely, do not criticize your ex and make them look bad.
Last but not least is the venue and transportation. If your date chooses the place, make sure you know where the place is. Inform your friends, that way they can help you if you need help. In this case it is better if you meet in somewhere public. And keep your cell phone with you.
This is the first date, so go out, have fun and do not have high expectations. This is the chance to get to know the other person and see if there is any possibility for a long lasting relationship.
