Feet Pain
Why is it that we don’t show our feet any love unless we are putting on open toed shoes or had a hard day at the office? We should be showing our feet courtesy each and everyday since they carry all our weight.
Out feet take a lot of abuse and when they hurt we hurt all over. For those strange muscle spasms that we get called cramps, drink plenty of water to prevent them from happening. When the tissue that connects your heel bone to the base of your toes gets inflamed it’s called plantar facsiitis. Rest your feet for at least a week and take some ibuprofen if your doctor gives the permission. A viral infection can cause plantar warts and they like to sneak up on the soles of your feet. Purchase a wart treatment at your local drugstore and see your doctor if they are still there in a few weeks.
All of that walking around on the job in your heels can cause serious foot pain. Stand and face the back of a chair, feet hip width apart and turn out your toes. Keeping your balance, bend your knees into a pile and return to a standing position. Do about 10 repetitions. For another 10 repetitions, rise up on your toes, hold for a second and then lower. The final step is to combine the 2 exercises and move in one fluid motion. Do these for 10 reps also.
Your feet need to feel the love just as much as the rest of your body does. Make sure to pamper them, love them and treat them with special care. They work just as hard as your heart; carry all the weight so you should treat your feet as though they are your life line.
