It is known to all that yoga is beneficial to health. It calms the nerves and keeps you relaxed. But that is for sound health. If you want to have wrinkle free smooth skin, then facial yoga is your thing. This involves several facial exercises that will keep your facial muscles firm and your skin healthy. The result is wrinkle free smooth skin. Some of these exercises are long yawns, laughing, relaxing your facial muscles and many more.
I have to admit, some of these exercises seem a bit bizarre, but they are actually very helpful. Here is one exercise that helps to increase the blood circulation in the facial area and makes the muscles relax. It also helps to get rid of stress. It is quiet simple. All you have to do is open your lips as wide as you can. At the same time keep the teeth tightened. Stretch other parts of your face such as chin, neck, chin, etc, as much as possible. Hold for a while and then let go.
Another popular yoga method is called the Lion Face. First, take a deep breath and then exhale. Relax all the muscles of your body. While exhaling, stick out your tongue and open your eyes wide, as wide as possible. Do this at least three times. The last time try to stick out the tongue as much as possible. It might sound really funny, but this is a great exercise. This helps to release the stress of the jaw lines that causes wrinkles.
After the lion face comes the inversion. Stand on a mat, keep your legs apart. Slowly bend forward, do not stop till the top of your head touches the mat. Now touch your face with your hands. The technique is to touch your chin with the thumbs and keep the rest of the fingers near your chin. This exercise helps to improve complexion and helps to reduce blood pressure.
For smooth eyebrows put your index fingers on the edge of your brows (outer edge) and gently pull them away. While doing this keep your eyes closed.
Like physical yoga, facial yoga also helps to get rid of stress and keeps the mind calm. Practice these exercise regularly and enjoy a health life.
