Eyebrow threading has been popular in China for centuries, and is becoming increasingly popular in the United States. Eyebrow threading is similar to plucking your eyebrows, but instead of using a pair of tweezers you use a thread. The average person only has to thread their eyebrows every two or three weeks.

There are several advantages to eyebrow threading over waxing or plucking. Eyebrow threading is usually cheaper than waxing. The effects of eyebrow threading last longer than plucking. Most people say that eyebrow threading is less painful than plucking their eyebrows.
The Art of Eyebrow Threading
Before you start threading your eyebrows, place an ice cube against the area where you’ll be working. This will help numb the area and reduce any redness and swelling.
When are threading your eyebrows, place one end of the thread in your mouth while holding the other end of the thread in your left hand. Form a loop in the middle of the thread. Place the loop around the eyebrow hairs that you want to remove, When you pull on both ends of the thread, the loop will tighten and remove the hair by it’s roots.
Keep repeating this process until you are happy with the shape of your eyebrows. Make sure you start at the bottom of your eyebrow and work your way to the top. When you are finished, use a towel to remove any fallen hairs and then rub lotion into your eyebrows.

Eyebrow pencils are an excellent way to draw attention to your threading work. Clever use of an eyebrow pencil can help hide flaws, brighten your eyes, and define the arch of your eyebrows. Several people like to use an eyebrow pencil to add length to short eyebrows. When you are choosing an eyebrow pencil you will want to use one that is a shade lighter than your natural color.
Use you eyebrow pencil to outline your eyebrows and then color in the remainder of your eyebrows. After using the eyebrow pencil, an eyebrow brush can be used to soften the effect. Glittery eyeshadow or a shimmering highlighter can be used to increase the dramatic effect of the eyebrow pencil.
