Eye Make-up – Eight Easy Steps

For a glamorous evening out, your eye make up should be done in such a way that they become the main focus of interest. Here are eight simple steps to making up your eyes for evening. Given below is an eight easy step guide for eyes that look stunningly irresistible. Elemental to eye make-up rituals, each step is important for upping the beauty quotient of your eyes. Every eye make-up routine begins with clean skin, followed by moisturizing, assessing and prepping the eyes for the paint.

Prep eyes with concealer: No make-up ritual, especially one that involves the eyes can be begun without the all essential concealer. What would one do without concealer to cover up under-eye circles or blemishes that mar the face. Begin doing up your eyes by covering any dark circles under the eye. First, apply three dots of concealer under each eye, beginning at the inner corner where skin tends to be darkest, a dot under the pupil and a dot at the outer edge. Pat with ring finger till the concealer has blended into the skin.

Eye base: Next prime your eyelids with eye-base, to prevent it from ending up in a greasy line in the crease of the eye.

Eye-shadow: With the base prepared, use a three-toned shadow from lids to brow. With the rainbow as your muse, blend colours so that they merge into each other. First apply a colour that is close to the colour of your lid, sweeping it across the lid and up to your browbone. Next use a medium shade on the lid only. Finish by applying a darker colour in the crease. Colours should be blend well for a subtle look.

Eyeliner: If, you don’t have a kohl pencil or eyeliner in your make-up kit, your can use a dark eyeshadow that will do the work of eyeliner, just as well. Wet a slanted brush, dip in a dark eyeshadow and line eyes as close to the upper lashes as possible. Do the same for bottom eyes, beginning only from the middle of the eye out. Smudge top and bottom line with a Q-tip for a softer, smokey look.

Brighten Eyes with Highlighter: Use a gold or pink highlighter only on the inside part of the eye. Draw a v-shape following the inner corner of your eye from top to bottom. Blend with your fingers to brighten the eyes.

Brow Highlights: Using the same highlighter, dab some on your browbone, concentrating mid-brow outward. Blend well.

Curl Eyelashes: Use an eyelash curler to curl eyelashes for added effect.

Mascara: Apply mascara after curling lashes by wiggling the wand back and forth. Follow up with a second coat of mascara and you are done making up your eyes.

Last but not least, don’t forget to tidy the eyebrows and fill in spots with dark eyeshadow or a Kohl pencil.
