You can enhance your nails so they look eye-catching and more beautiful. Artificial nails will help enhance the overall beauty of nails. Before you use any of the following nail enhancements, remember that you will need touch-ups every 2-6 weeks.
Here are some ways that you can enhance and beautify your nails.
Wraps
These linen, silk or fibreglass sheets will add a layer to the nail, which is strong and protective. These will enable the nail to grow long at the same time, keeping them intact without breaking. The nail technician sticks these wraps to your nails and buffs it to create a smooth surface.
Acrylic nails
Powdered polymer and liquid monomer are mixed and you get acrylic nails. The two components react with each other and form a plastic-like paste. This paste is applied to the nail to get long and virtually indestructible nails.
However, these nails are a no-no for people with sensitive skin because the chemicals can cause irritation to the skin.
Porcelain nails
These use a glasslike material instead of the two chemicals as in acrylic nails. They are smoothed on like acrylic nails and create a nice long nail. They give more natural-looking nails. If pale, sheer nail colours are your choice, then these are just the nails for you.
Gel nails
They are a new type of nail enhancement, which involves the application of resin layers to the nail. They are either hardened by an ultraviolet light or under ordinary lighting. They offer the most natural-looking nails out of all nail enhancements.
Nail tips
These are one of the oldest and involve the application of preformed plastic nail shapes to the natural nail plate with nail glue. You can cover the entire nail with it or apply them midway down the nail plate.
Nail art
You can enhance your nail appearance with nail art. It is a great way of expressing yourself. If the coloured nail is not enough for you, you might want to go for some nail art to make yourself stand out.
There are several ways to dress up your nails. You can draw various designs on your nails.
Decorative nails
You can also use decorative jewellery for your nails. Most of it is simple and easy to apply.
Whatever way you choose to enhance your nail, you should be careful with it and the best way to do it is to go to a nail technician.
