End of Winter Fatigue

winterfatigueA lot of people feel different when the end of winter approaches. The absence of sunlight outside, translates into lack of sleep, energy and lack of luster to live. Even though it is advisable that you start taking vitamins, the effects of this fatigue might still be visible.

The problems that you experience, like increased irritability, low energy levels or the sugar craving, represent symptoms of the condition called “fatigue” that occurs at the end of the winter.

It is nothing to be afraid of. But, it is a time when the endocrine system, together with the organs that compose it, are unable to keep up with the change in the environment and therefore, they start showing signs of fatigue.

The stress of daily life can take its toll on your body; therefore it is advisable that you relax yourself and start thinking about nicer things. However, a vacation to a warm climate region will not be much help, because it is not just a change of scenery and climate that you actually need.

Most probably, the fatigue may zero down to the nutritional deficiency that you have been experiencing through the summer. Listed below are some ways to help you get over that.

Mineral intake to fight fatigue

In some ways, minerals can be considered to be more crucial than vitamins. Since, mineral deficiency can lead to irritability, muscle cramps, sugar craving, problems with the skin, hair and the nails;you should seriously consider taking diet rich in some minerals.

The intake of minerals becomes more effective, if you take them in liquid form rather than pills or some other means.

For instance, several products in the market have shown good results: the Ola Loa energy product is a pack of powder, which is to be dissolved in a glass of water or juice to prepare a refreshing drink. It also acts as a good supplement of nutrients required for the day.

Fatty acids intake

You can find fatty acids in products that contain omega 3 or omega 5. These nutrients can be found in the food we eat, but if that is not sufficient, then, you can use the “YES supplement”.

In this supplement, the essential fatty acids omega 3 and omega 6 are blended to benefit our body.  You should avoid purchasing fish oil in bottles from pharmacies or other stores, because there is a greater risk of contamination during processing and thus, pose health hazards.

Use adaptogens

The adaptogens are natural nutrients, which help the body to deal with stress issues and fatigue. They also help you increase the immunity levels and generally fortify the body.
