Ah…Homecoming. The big game. The parties. The dance. It’s a big part of campus life as well as High School. If you are attending any of the functions, you are going to want to look your best. While “what to wear” is always the hot topic, your hair style can make or break your look. Your hair says a lot about you. Make sure it’s saying the right things. Here are some ideas to help you find a hairstyle as unique as you are.
The Classic Braid
The elegant braided hairstyle never goes out of fashion. This can be as elaborate or as simply understated as you like. One of the most popular and stylish examples is the French Braid. There is a reason this is chosen by so many brides – not only does it impart certain loveliness to any face, it also stays in place all day. It will look good for the game and the dance with very little maintenance. You could add a few flowers for the evening for a sophisticated look.
Add a fall for fall
An easy hair addition is the fall which consists of a long hairpiece attached to the crown of the head by a headband or scarf. You can add bangs for a funky retro look. Add a jeweled headband and dramatic highlights to go with your fabulous dress. The sky’s the limit with additions.
Go for the Classic “Up do”
Upswept styles are forever feminine, formal, and flattering. What better way to show off your long neck and bared shoulders than with your hair artfully piled atop your head? There are so many ways to wear your hair up you will have no trouble finding one to suit your occasion and outfit. The only “downside” (pun intended) on the” Up do”, is possibly requiring repairs at some point. Use a lot of product and be prepared for emergency fixes.
Doll Up Every Day Style
One of the easiest ways to make sure that your look reflects your style and can go from day to night is to convert your daily style into a little night glamour with accessories. There are a lot of accessories out there, from hair pins to glitter. You already know your hair looks good on you, so add a little gel, a jeweled barrette and off you go to dance the night away.
