Why Drink Water?
The very survival of mankind all depends on drinking fresh, pure water every day. Water hydrates the body and prevents disease. Water also helps in weight control. The human body is designed to function properly with proper amounts of water.
As you probably know, the body is mostly water. About two thirds of your weight is water. All the major organs of the body contain mostly water. Even 22 percent of the bones’ mass is water. You can survive without food for quite some time, but you cannot survive without water. The body gets dehydrated; it will start to shut down.
The circulation of the blood suffers when the body looses water. Fatigue sets in when the body starts feeling the effects of dehydration.
Your body needs water to flush out the waste from your system. These are just a few of the ways that water in the body make the system function properly.
Your skin, which is the largest organ of the body, has to have water to retain a healthy glow that everyone wants.
Water is a purifying system for the body and flushes both waste and toxins from the organs.
If you are overweight and want a great way to lose unwanted pounds, drinking a lot of hot water with lemon with insure the success of your weight-loss program. Your heart will thank you as well, as this will keep it healthier.
If you let your body become dehydrated, the brain begins to slow down and your thinking becomes muddled. Drink lots of water during the day and your general health will increase, and your body will be much happier and function far better.
Here are four good reasons why drinking water is essential to your overall health:
1. Back pain has been attributed to dehydration. Being dehydrated will mean fatigue will set in and most likely so will headaches.
2. Kidney stones can form if the body does not have enough water to dilute the waste it produces. When the kidneys are not performing properly, the liver has to do its job to help the body out, and then the liver cannot break down or burn fat. If you are trying to lose weight, you need to burn fat, and therefore you need to be drinking lots of water. It is like a domino effect when the system is lacking sufficient amounts of water.
3. Drinking water does not mean drinking liquids. You cannot count soda or coffee or tea as your daily water intake. Anything that is sweet, like juice, makes the body work to break down the sugars and use up water. These liquids actually cause dehydration.
4. When you drink water, the skin becomes hydrated and has a youthful glow, so drinking water makes you look younger!
