Drink Pure Juice To Lose Weight

A well-known family physician in the US, Dr. Pamela Rockwell warned parents against letting their kids drink too much fruit juice as it was earlier believed to be linked with obesity. However today she has changed her opinion totally. A recent study revealed that as long as 100% fruit juice is taken one needs not fear of gaining weight. In fact, other studies conducted have come with nothing but additional benefits of drinking juice.

Pomegranate juice is becoming a favorite for its many health benefits. Being a rich source of antioxidants it can reduce LDL cholesterol which can clog the artery.  Research has also shown that it can slow the growth of prostate cancer and increase blood flow to the heart. Orange juice prevents recurrences of painful kidney stones while Cranberry juice is a popular home remedy for urinary tract infections.

Best part about juice for weight watchers is the rapid rate at which it enables people to lose weight. Initially, one can lose three-to-four pounds per day and decline later to one pound-per-day. So that a person sheds 30-to-40 pounds within 30-days on a pure juice diet alone. However, the trick is to feast on pure 100% juice alone – no extra sugar added.

Dr. Rockwell has a word of caution on this. She says drinking fruit juice is not an inherently healthy activity as many juices contain high levels of corn syrup which leads to obesity. So one must pick only 10% natural fruit juice or pure juice to avoid corn syrup. Having too much of it leads to blood sugar and obesity and the buildup of fat cells. She attributes obesity problem in the US and other industrialized nations to corn syrup.

So if you are dying to lose that extra inch here is one of the most simple ways. No need to wake up early, just go to the kitchen and gulp down a glass of pure fruit juice and enjoy a new slimmer and healthier you.
