Do You Have Diabetes?

You may have heard of Diabetes, but do you know what it is or how you get it? This is brought about by your insulin that is produced by your pancreas. When the insulin doesn’t get produced or it does not get used the right way, you can become diabetic. This can lead to other troubles, such as blindness, kidney disease and even vascular disease.
This disease can kill you if you do not receive the proper treatment early enough in the stage. There are many people walking with this terrible disease and they don’t even know that they have it. Also, there are 3 different types of diabetes. These are Type 1, Type 2, and gestational diabetes, which affects women.
Insulin dependent diabetes or Type 1 is found in young adults and kids. It is when the pancreas stops making insulin from the immune system attacking the cells it makes. This actually will require the person to have to take insulin shots for the rest of their lives.
Without them, they could die. If you find that you are thirsty more often, going to the bathroom more frequently, are always tired or even have problems with your vision, seek the attention of a doctor. You could end up in a coma without insulin.
Type 2 is the most common form of diabetes there is. You can live with this and not know it until you are older. If you find that you are loosing weight all of a sudden, have bad vision and sores that don’t heal as quickly as they used to, see your doctor.
Gestational diabetes affects women during pregnancy. They are at a higher risk of getting Type 2 later in life if they are diagnosed with this. Be sure to make the women in your life aware of this disease so they can get checked.
Diabetes is a manageable disease as long as you treat it early and catch it soon. The further along it gets, the harder it is to control. Be sure to speak with your physician if you feel that you are at risk.
