Common Myths about Sexual Pleasure
July 16, 2008
There are a lot of myths and misconceptions about sexual pleasure going around today and some of these myths and misconceptions go around so much and so fast that these falsehoods become facts and legends, which is misleading people about the facts of sexual pleasure, but what are the myths and misconceptions surrounding this interesting topic?
Well, one myth about sexual pleasure is that every orgasm has a mind-blowing, earth-shattering and explosive feeling to them. This is not true since orgasms differ from person to person and so are the sensations of the orgasms, which range from feelings of dizziness and stomach churning all over the body to a sudden and explosive rush of blood to a person’s head or a sudden explosive rush from the person’s private organs. No orgasms are created equal as is no man or woman, so don’t expect the same feeling from different people.
Another common myth about sexual pleasure is the theory that all women experiences orgasm through sex using the vagina, which is also not true since most studies on this subject has shown that a majority of women do not experience orgasms from vaginal-based sex alone but through vaginal arousal, which is a more targeted form of arousal and deep vaginal arousal, which has an overall stimulation of the vagina.
Also a another myth about sexual pleasure is the theory that first time sex is always painful and causes bleeding, which is also another myth since the feeling from first-time intercourse, varies from person to person. The feelings from the penetration can be from a quick and momentarily feeling of pain to a more lengthy and intense pain, which is experienced by most males and females.
Another fact regarding pain and bleeding during intercourse is that because somebody experiences pain and bleeding during the sex, which does not give validity to the fact of the person’s virginity, since every person has their own level of dealing with pain from intercourse.
And another common sexual myth (regarding men only), is the belief that men who masturbate can go blind and have unsightly hair growth, which is not the case since many studies done on masturbations have proven that the majority of men who masturbate have not experienced any blindness or excessive hair growth and to top that theory, the American Medical Association have ruled long ago that this practice is considered healthy and can be beneficial to one’s mental and physical health.
So, these are some of the common myths about sexual pleasure and how it impacts those involved, so the next time you and your lover are “doing the do,” you do not need to worry about having massive erections and bleeding while having sex because it may or may not happen, but if you would like to improve your chances of these things happening, try switching to a healthier diet and stay away from large amounts of caffeine, which weakens the stimulation that comes from erections and orgasms and for you masturbators out there, keep on buzzing!.
