Colorful Indian Clothing

For those who don’t know, India is known for her stylish and beautiful clothing, which are worn to differentiate between the types of people who live in certain parts of that country. An Indian costume often reflects the style, beauty and grace that will get any onlooker’s attention (and the women wearing them would get your attention, too.)
These beautiful and stylish Indian clothing can be found all over India, whether you are in Bombay or Delhi, New Delhi or Calcutta, at prices that varies from market to market, but you can get a good bargain for them. Also, Indian clothing is strictly available by geographical area of the country. For example, you cannot buy a costume in Delhi, which was made in Calcutta or Hyderabad. With that being said, you can tell a certain people in India by the clothes they wear.
As for traditional clothing, most Indians still wear traditional clothing and customs, while other Indians (westernized with cell phones) wear western clothing.
Form the costume style of India; let us use the Kashmir region, where men wear loose thick shirts called a phi ran, to stay warm, unlike the men in the southern states of India clothe themselves with clothing made out of a cloth called mundu. The women clothing with a series of folds is called a saree, which is also India’s national dress.
The men in the dry regions of India, such as Rajasthan and Gujarat, typically wear a long cotton cloth called a dhoti around the limbs and a loose upper body cloth called a kurta. The men in Rajasthan wear colorful turbans, while the women of that region wear a pleated skirt known as a ghagra. A length piece of fine cotton, known as an orhni, is used as a head covering.
