Most men and women who experience baldness do not know the causes of this problem. Even those who do not have this problem of baldness nurse fears that they will shed hair some time in the future.
Women generally, are good at hiding their hair loss. On the other hand, men are not good at hiding their baldness as you can obviously see that they are bald. It is commonly known that chemotherapy patients go bald because of the treatment they have to undergo.
Shedding of hair in this case is not a permanent condition. Their hair usually grows back when they are healed or cured. For this to happen, they have to eat a balanced diet. Not only that, they will have to eat lots of fruits, nuts and vegetables in order to rejuvenate their hair and gain weight.
Hair recession is usually genetic in men and women but the difference is in the pattern of recession. Frontal hairline recession occurs in men while women experience hair thinning at the centre or back of their head.
Other types of baldness can be caused by different factors. It can be the kind of food that you eat or some type of internal ailment that the person in question is suffering from.
Chemotherapy sessions are one of the causes of baldness. Alopecia areata, trichotillomania and tinea capitis are conditions in which your hair becomes patchy.
Alopecia areata is a condition whereby the body destroys itself; specifically the hair follicles, resulting in patchy pattern of strands on the scalp. Trichotillomania on the other hand, is a habit in which a person tends to pull or twist his hair strands. Tinea capitis is a fungal disease of the hair and scalp. Tinea capitis is usually suffered by school children.
Sufferers of any of the above ailments should consult their doctor in order to get the appropriate medication. It may be very costly to see the doctor and some people may not be able to afford it.
Another way of treating these ailments is by buying hair products that have been produced with natural ingredients. The advantage of these is that they are affordable compared to paying consultation fees and they do not have any side effects.
