Can You Avoid Pregnancy Test Confusion?

Have you ever wondered just how a pregnancy test works? It can happen that you take two tests, just to be sure and come up with two different results. This result definitely causes pregnancy test confusion.
When you are pregnant the placenta secretes the hormone HGC or human chorionica gonadotropin. It is this hormone that is detected by the pregnancy test.
Even though the results of a pregnancy test can be positive from the early stages of your pregnancy, even by the time your menstrual cycle is to start, the amount of the HGC hormone is extremely low. Since the HGC hormone is so low at this stage there is a chance of the test giving a negative result. This would be known as a false negative result even though you could be pregnant.
It is critical to follow the enclosed directions to the letter and use the recommended urine sample, taken in the early morning. Using this concentrated urine sample will give you a much better chance of getting an accurate test result.
If you think that you are indeed pregnant, and your test gave you a negative result it is time to go to a clinic or to your doctor. Ask your doctor to take a blood test. With a blood test your test results are concrete and your doctor can detect and confirm or rule out if there are any concerns due to the level of HCG being so low that it was not detected by your initial test.
On very rare occasions the test can result in a positive reading, or a false positive, even though you are not pregnant. This false positive reading occurs when the test was not performed properly, if it had an expired date, or a possible conflict with some prescription medications.
When taking a pregnancy test, follow the directions carefully, but be prepared for pregnancy test confusion.
