Fulfilling romantic fantasies can be one of the most enjoyable parts of having a relationship, like rescuing a damsel in distress or being swept off your feet by a knight in shining armor.
Romantic fantasies still exist, even if knights and damsels are a thing of the past. Romantic fantasies usually stem from something you feel is missing from your love life, something that would complete your life if you had it.
It is possible to make your fantasies come true. They just require a little work. You can form a plan to bring your romantic dreams to fruition, whether you are in a relationship or not.
Everyone has a different romantic fantasy, and each fantasy has its own atmosphere. Some people have truly complex fantasies while others have simpler ones. The common theme to all romantic dreams is a desire for special fulfillment from a lover.
Both partners in a relationship may have fantasies worth sharing, though they may not always feel comfortable revealing them. Revealing a fantasy makes one quite vulnerable emotionally; many fear their partner’s reaction because fantasies evoke deep emotions. This is the reason why most fantasies are kept private. Erroneous assumptions can be the biggest barrier to sharing these fantasies. Your partner can’t read your mind, nor can you read your partner’s, but it’s easy to generate excuses about why you partner may not want to experience your fantasy with you.
Being clear is most important. Tell your partner exactly what you desire, leaving nothing out, because vague information can cause problems. A loving partner may even be eager to please you and make you happy by helping you live out your fantasy.
The first step is to think through what you really want. Then you and your partner should write down your fantasies in a single sentence. Sharing them this way can keep the experience of sharing simple, allowing each of you to understand what the other wants without being overwhelming. Once you’ve achieved this mutual understanding, let the romantic games begin!
