BIG Entertainment comes with a bang in Indian cinema

Anil Ambani’s Reliance BIG Entertainment announced on Sunday that His Company would be producing, distributing and co producing about sixty nine movies in different languages like Hindi, English and other regional Indian languages. This target is to be completed in next two years. The company also inked a deal with Vinod Chopra Films and Excel Entertainment to produce 8 films.
According to industry approximation, the production value of these sixty nine movies would be over Rs 1,200 crore and some of the films will be made in languages like Punjabi, Gujrati, Marathi, Tamil, Telegu and Bengali among others.
Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Govinda and Rishi Kapoor are among others the stars who will feature in some of these films. Vidhu Vinod Chopra said, “We are excited to be associated with BIG Entertainment and know that through this alliance our films will reach every corner of the world, allowing us to take our cinema to the next level.”
Chairman Reliance BIG Entertainment Amit Khanna, said here that, “Bringing Vidhu Vinod Chopra Films to Reliance BIG Entertainment is a major coup for us. To be able to collaborate with someone as passionate about the industry as Vinod is both an exciting opportunity and a privilege. We look forward to celebrating future success together.”
Reliance BIG Entertainment has also announced its joint venture with Excel Entertainment to present 6 feature films over the next 2 years. Excel will produce the films and Reliance BIG Entertainment will co produce and handle worldwide distribution in all media.
