A best friend is a person who stands by you in the good times as well as the bad times. It is true that a friend is the person who one chooses himself according to his likes and dislikes. So, a best friend is one who is there with you when everybody else leaves you behind. He is there with you when you smile and he has a shoulder for you when you cry. This closeness many times turns into a special relationship and takes the form of love if the friendship is between the opposite sexes.
The relationship of friendship is on the safe and smooth grounds if the love is between both people and the problem crops when only one of the two is falling in love. This relationship of friendship is actually in danger if the other person is totally unaware of the growing love of the other person. The first thing that one should do to save the friendship is tell the other person about your intense feelings clearly and make sure that if the other person is experiencing the same feeling of love, assure him that this does not mean end of their friendship. Always give your friend some time to think about it, and don’t rush things or force him to think the same way you do. Before actually expressing your love, start giving your friend hints about your feelings, like going for a candlelight dinner or an evening walk on the beach. Justify your feelings and analyze your future dreams as well as aspirations. Basically you need to decide whether both of you will have a bright and secure future or not. Before going ahead in this relationship, give each other time as well as space. It is a matter of a lifetime and not just few days. Make your mind clear and analyze whether it is just infatuation or true love.
Never force your friend to get into this relationship. Remember that this feeling is a feeling of the heart and it cannot arise by forcing the other person.
