Beer Gardens to Treat Your Taste Buds

Ahhh, summer is here and that means backyard get-togethers, baseball, grilling and of course – beer. Whether you are a find connoisseur of lagers and ales, or the domestic beer kind of person, there is a beer garden waiting for you.
If you want to travel around, you are sure to find all kinds of beer gardens during the summer months. From coast to coast, beer gardens are a cultural medium enjoyed by people everywhere. Beer gardens range from the exotic to the basic, whatever kind you prefer you can create the same experience in your own backyard.
This summer, instead of having the traditional backyard barbeque, really impress your friends and families by having your own beer garden family. What you need depends on what you want your theme to be, but some basics include kegs of beer, seating, music and tents. You can rent tents, canopies and seats from most rental stores.
Once you have the date set, and the items reserved, its time to think about the most important part of the event – the beer! First, you need to figure how many people are coming and what their different tastes may be. As a general rule, you should get a keg of domestic beer to suit most of your guests, and if you are not able to purchase a keg of a lager or ale, try filling buckets of ice and place on every table, or if you prefer, have a small bar area. Then, get a variety of imported beer such as lagers and ales and place a variety in each bucket.
Make sure you offer guests the convenience of bottle openers at every table, as well as condiment dishes of garnishes of limes, lemons and oranges. Take time before your party starts and precut all garnishes and decorate with colored toothpicks or swords. Make sure you have an adequate supply of plastic cups, napkins and plenty of ice.
If you have a canopy or tent, set up either chairs or tables, or picnic tables with lighting around the area such as tiki or bamboo lights. Make sure to keep the guests entertained by either offering live music, or a stereo system. Your friends and neighbors will be impressed with your ability to create a homegrown beer garden right in your backyard.
