With only a few different strokes, you can go from beautiful to divine before the tea gets cold. The following makeup tips can transform you from a stunning beauty over high tea.
Cleanse – Basic Instinct
Begin by cleansing, toning and moisturising in gentle movements, sweeping from inside and moving out. Use circular motions on the cheeks that go towards the nose.
Follow with an eye cream around the outer eye area. Get the foundation right by applying a mattifying product on the face, neck and lips. Dab concealer around the eyes, lips, laugh lines and forehead, gently blending into the foundation. Give the face a satin finish with a highlighting powder, using a darker shade on the sides of the face, and lighter tones to highlight the nose and cheekbones.
Eye Spice
Use a dark kohl pencil to contour the eyes, also use it to fill in the entire upper eyelid for a funk look. Apply eye shadow over the kohl and under the eye, then once again use the eye pencil to define the eyes. Use a lengthening and volumising brown or black mascara to transform the eyes. Apply blue mascara at the tips for a professional three-dimensional effect. Shape eyebrows with a few, deft strokes of an eyebrow pencil and brush a wee bit of mascara on the brows for some extra shine.
Lucky Lips
Aim for subtlety e.g. choose an orange lip pencil to line the lips and a brown lipstick to go over it. A dab of lip gloss and you are ready to be kissed.
Cheek Peek
Apply blush in circular motions on the cheeks, forehead, chin, tip of the nose and neck. Skim outer cheekbones with a transparent gloss, then finish off with some loose powder. And, by sunset, you have metamorphosised into a Diva of all Divas!
