Beautiful Health

Before considering Botox and plastic surgery as options for enhancing beauty, and concealing age, consider health and wellbeing.
FOOD & NUTRITION
Processed food and microwave dinners have replaced healthy well balanced meals, but it is these well balanced meals, with an adequate supply of water, vitamins, minerals, protein and fats that contribute to collagen integrity, healthy skin, hair, and bones. Poor diets lead to deficiency, and an accumulation of toxins, which result in free radical damage, and premature aging.
Water
Water is essential for the body’s growth and maintenance, and is involved in a number of regulatory processes, including transport and the ridding of wastes, both necessary for optimal health and wellbeing. Ridding wastes also leaves the body cleansed, revitalized and youthful. Dehydration causes among other things, constipation, kidney stones, and premature aging. Today, bottle water is a convenient and effective method of obtaining the daily recommended intake (RDI) of water.
Fish
Salmon, herring and mackerel are full of omega-3 fatty acids, which aid in healthy skin, free of skin inflammation conditions, such as psoriasis. Since inflammation has the potential to damage skin collagen, and skin collagen is essential to youthful skin, Omega-3 is necessary for continued youthful skin. Further, these and other fish are rich in vitamin A, which is necessary for growth and renewal of skin cells, promotes skin subtlety and prevents skin damage. Thus its deficiency promotes dry, rough and fragile skin, prone to wrinkles.
Beta Carotene
Carrots, cantaloupe, apricots, mangoes, pumpkin, broccoli and spinach are rich in beta-carotene, which aids in the production of new skin cells and the shedding of old ones. A regular inflow of new cells affords smooth, fresh, and youthful skin surface, which is resistant to irritants and damage. Additionally the antioxidant destroys free radicals that cause deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) mutations that lead to wrinkles.
EXERCISE & FRIENDS
Exercise and yoga influence longevity, health, and beauty, as they promote physical fitness, and oxygen flow, and promote physical, mental, emotional, and psychological health.
Exercise
Thirty minutes of daily exercise is proven effective in the promotion of health, longevity, and natural beauty. This is because exercise, along with proper nutrition, eliminates toxins, and harmful free radicals, which promote malfunction of the body’s systems, and disproportionate hormone production.
Exercise enhances strength and stamina, and affords a leaner, stronger physique, improved circulation, and increased blood flow, which protects against illnesses, a contributory factor in premature aging. Additionally, exercise increases oxygen extraction at tissues, increases digestive efficiency and bowel function and reduces stress, all of which contribute to maintenance of fitness, and slows physical aging of the body.
Yoga
Beauty and youth are dependent on three things, the proper function of the body’s systems, minimal toxins and free radicals, and the elasticity of the body. Yoga is important in the latter. It is designed to promote body subtlety and elasticity, and provide a massaging effect to the internal organs, which invigorate their function; these both contribute to overall health and wellbeing, but also maintenance of beauty, through youth.
SKIN CARE
Care of the skin is also important to beauty. Paramount to proper skin care is the use of vitamin E oils and creams, such as the commercially available cod liver oil and Retinol, to protect it from wrinkles and the damaging effect of the sun.
REMARKS
Health and beauty go hand in hand.Proper health, promised through proper diet, adequate rest, and sufficient exercise, is the key to natural, wondrous, and eternal beauty.
