Deciding between work and child is a very crucial issue for majority of the mothers who’re single. It’s actually like questioning as to which is their priority. Here are some tips for single mothers.
For example your company offers you a hike but demands more working hours. You’ve a child who is just two years old and you’re the sole earning member.
You can’t afford to spend more time at the office because it takes away the time allotted for your child. Similarly you need the better pay to have a stable finance. Here are some tips to help you.
Tip 1: You must accept the hike only if you feel your parents will take care of your child the way you will. It doesn’t mean you’ve to think before leaving your child in your parent’s hands.
It’s not because they might mistake you it’s because your view points may differ and you might want your child to be like you. Being a single parent financial security is vital, therefore the hike should be accepted.
Tip 2: Do you feel earning a few additional thousands are vital than teaching good values to your son/daughter? It’s essential to have your own identity, but not at this cost.
That doesn’t mean you’re not paying attention to your son/daughter, but he/she is in such an age that he/she needs lot of your attention and time. We don’t understand how it might affect the child because at such a small age children grasp everything. It might carry forward when he/she grows up.
Tip 3: Decide. Work will ultimately help the family. The condition is delicate because you’re a single parent. You’ve to make an unemotional rational decision. Look at the positives and negatives of the situation and then choose because you’ll regret it later if you make a hasty decision.
God has given us intelligence and ability to bear children, not comprehending that we lament and make ourselves unhappy. Ask yourself what is more vital.
What will make you happy ultimately? Think which will make you happier playing with your child or accompanying your child to their music class, or spending extra hours to earn that extra income? Whatever you decide stick to it. In life we have to pay a price for everything, so think before choosing.
