Avoid gum Disease
Dental problems are connected to poor bone health, heart disease and various other ailments. As we all know that teeth are the hardest substance in our body and yet they are very much prone to many problems. Dental ailments also increase when one gets older; your teeth become very susceptible to diseases.
Gum problem is one of the major concerns as it can damage your entire teeth. This comes with bad breath and gum bleeding. Poor oral hygiene in adults leads to build up of plaque, bacteria and several other ailments. Therefore, you should avoid gum disease by adopting these few simple tips.
Brush your teeth twice a day, in the morning and at bedtime. You can also brush after every meal with or without tooth paste. Make sure that you are using soft bristles tooth brush as it provides no pain to your gum while brushing.
Don’t forget to floss every time you take meal. Do not miss it as you may miss thirty five percent of your tooth surface if you don’t do. Fix an appointment with your dental surgeon every six months. You must avoid coffee, tea, soft drinks and chewing tobacco. These are the major sources of getting gum disease. You also need to cut down your intake of sweets, snacks and various other processed foods. This will protect your gum from plaque and dental caries.
If you don’t follow good oral hygiene you may face embarrassing and agonizing situation as it will not allow you to have good smile. This can be avoided by spending a few minutes in oral care.
