There are many different reasons that someone may consider having acupuncture. They may have it done to relieve stress or to help them quit smoking. This method comes from ancient Chinese traditional medicine that starts with a river and ends at the sea.
Each location of the body has a different meaning and a different name. The location known as the Jing-well is the actual source of the river. Regardless of where you begin and end, these points are known as the yin channels. All of the points are at the fingers and toes except for the Kid-1 YongQuan point. The jing-well points are for the organs.
If you are looking to make changes in the complexion of your body than the ying-spring points are the place to start. For joint pain or even bouts of disease, the shu-stream points are the places to focus on some relief.
There are several other points of interest as well. These include the jing-river, he-sea, 5 phase points, yin channel yin-spring, yang, and bak-shu. Each and every one of these points has a specific job when it comes to giving some relief.
You will find that these purposes range from your spine, specific organs, blood flow, and illness. People have been getting acupuncture for centuries and many claim that it has helped them to heal, where doctors have not been able to help.
The art of acupuncture is to keep your body balanced and in perfect harmony within itself. Although there are many people that feel it serve no purpose whatsoever, there are many more that will tell you it has helped them to overcome some obstacle or medical condition that has been haunting them for a long time.
