Applying False Eyelashes

False eyelashes add a fuller and richer look to your eyes. They come in several styles and densities. Applying them is easy and it will help you spruce up your look once you learn how to do it.
Types of false eyelashes
In general, there are two main types. One is the full lashes, which work for adding density to the entire lash line. The others are individual lashes. These are used to fill in spaces, which have less lashes or even to give a dramatic opening up of the eye area.
How to apply false eyelashes
While full lashes are easier to apply, they do not look as natural. On the other hand, individual lashes require much more practice and a skilful hand to apply. You can follow the following tips to apply them.
Ready your eyes
You should apply eyelashes after you are finished with the foundation and eyebrows. First, start by drawing a steady line just above your lash line with a brown or black eyeliner pencil. Then create a smoky effect by blending it in. You can also apply a thin coat of mascara to your natural lashes before you apply the false ones. However, you should take care because it can become messy.
Ready the lash bands
Ensure that you have the right width of the lash bands. If too long, shorten them with a pair of scissors and snipping the outer edges, which are usually the longest. If you do not want full coverage, simply cut the bands in half and apply them to your outer top lids.
Final application of the lashes
Apply a thin line of adhesive to the lash band with a toothpick. Allow the glue to become tacky first. Then press the lash bands on your eyes, first to the inner and then to the outer corners of your eyes. Place them as close as possible to your eyes. Hold them in place till set. Keep it as neat as possible. Ensure that your lashes match by starting at the outer corner.
The final look
Curl your fake lashes along with your natural lashes. Apply a liquid liner over both to blend them together. You will not need mascara on your false lashes. You can however, apply it on your natural lashes for a further highlight
