An effective callus remover
Calluses are a common skin problem. Anyone can have them. In case of a callus the skin becomes hard and thick at the same time. Usually this occurs on the feet. If there is constant or frequent friction or pressure on an organ then the skin becomes hard and thick and a callus occurs.
Feet are one of the main areas where this problem occurs. And usually a callus occurs on the feet if one wears too tight or closed shoes. But feet are not the only area where this can occur.
Musicians who play instruments like guitar or violin can also have this. Calluses are usually not painful. But sometimes it can hurt.
If you have this problem then the first advice for you is not to scratch the callus at any cost. That will make the thing worse. Here are some natural easy remedies that can help to get rid of this skin problem.
Castor oil is an excellent remedy for calluses. Dab a good amount of castor oil on the affected area with the help of a cotton ball. Then cover the area using an adhesive tape.
Then wear socks so that your sheets do not get dirty. Keep in mind; apply castor oil on the thick area. If the skin is broken then this remedy is not for you.
You can soak your feet in warm water and some Epsom salt. This will eventually soften the skin and at the same time relieve the pain. But this remedy is not permanent.
Check that the callus has become soft. If so then you can remove them by the help of pumice stone. But this remedy is not for a diabetic patient. Some have the habit of cutting or shaving the callus. That is not a good idea. It will not help to remove the callus but increase the infection.
One of the best ways to prevent this skin problem is to keep the skin well moisturized. Use a good moisturizer regularly. This will keep the skin soft and callus free. Wear the right shoes. The main reason you have this problem in the first place is because of the tight shoes.
Last but not the least; make a habit of having a pedicure every fifteen days. This goes for both men and women. Keep the skin healthy and well pampered and stay callus free.
