How many times have you seen an ad for a shampoo and wished that you had shiny, silky locks like that of the model in the advertisement? Your hair greatly affects the way you look.
When your hair looks good, you look good and feel confident about yourself. Below are various ways you can add shine to your hair, depending on your hair type.
Normal Hair: To enhance the shine in your hair use a shampoo that contains amino acids. In addition to bringing greater shine to your hair it will also strengthen your hair, reducing breakage and hair loss.
You can replenish the texture of your hair with lecithin. There are numerous lotions, creams, and gels that will add shine to your hair without making it feel heavy.
A very small quantity should be used. Take the gel or lotion in your hand and rub your hands together. Then lightly pat it on your hair without applying it to the scalp.
Thick Hair: This type of hair requires more attention and preparation. Make sure to moisturize your hair after each wash. Pomades are recommended to add shine to coarse hair. A leave in conditioner is also helpful.
Fine hair: Fine hair tends to look weighed down with the use of different style products. A light spray to add volume to the hair will help. Shampoos and conditioners that contain wheat proteins or polymers will improve the appearance of your hair.
General hair tips: Once a week deep condition your hair and use a hot oil treatment. Do not use too many hair styling products or chemicals on your hair.
Choose a shampoo that says it is heat activated. Heat helps the hair absorb moisture more quickly. This applies to all hair types. A hair mask made of strawberries and mayonnaise will add instant gloss to your hair.
Mash the two ingredients together and apply it to the hair. Wrap a plastic bag around your hair to keep the mixture in place. Around the plastic bag wrap a hot towel. Rinse the mixture off after fifteen minutes.
