Active men less likely to die from cancer

London – According to research done at Sweden the men who lead an active life are less prone to cancer.
As per the research done by the team of scientists, it was established that the cancer death rate in active men who walked or cycled at least half hour every day fell by a third.
The researchers said that active men have a 34 % lower chance of being killed by cancer than those who do not, reports the Scotsman.
The researchers checked the health and physical activity levels of 40,708 men aged between 45 and 79 for 7 years.
During this time, 3,714 of the applicants developed cancer and 1,153 died from their disease.
The findings revealed that exercise had a major influence on cancer survival and a lesser crash on occurrence.
The same activities only direct to a 5 % reduction in cancer rates, a consequence that could be owing to possibility.
Though, a more rigorous programme of walking and cycling for between an hour and an hour and a half a day was linked to a 16 % lower incidence of cancer. The study is available in the British Journal of Cancer.
