Acrylic nails are a great option for the women who find it hard to either grow nails or maintain them properly. These can be painted upon and decorated to look great. They offer a range of choices to decorate them.
These are very durable and women can easily glue them on their own natural nails. You can do it at home or in a salon, the choice is yours. A special kind of glue keeps them on. You can try a lot of art on these nails very easily.
However, removing them can be a task and you should do it with care. Once you go for acrylic nails, nail-care becomes of utmost importance.
If acrylic nails are the way to go for you then you should look into decorating them in order to get the ultimate glamour look. Therefore, make your nails your canvas and let the work begin. Here a few tips are given to help you decorate them well.
Flowery nails
Start by painting a bright red and then letting it dry. Then you can draw an upside down shape of a heart at the nail base. This is your flower head. Then complete it with a leaf and stem in green. Remember to use natural strokes. When it dries out you can further highlight the flower with a line of yellow at the edge of the leaf and some gold glitter at the side.
Let Christmas come
This design uses the basics of French manicure. First, paint the nail in a pastel shade with a white tip, pink is a good choice. When it dries, make some swirling lines on the surface with silver. You can add dots in between for more fun, using a small brush make tiny blue stars. To get a complete Christmas look you can go for shades of red and green also.
Make some fish
You will have to start with a deep blue. When it dries, paint a teardrop on the blue with a tiny brush. Twisting the end of the teardrop will form the tail of the fish. You can make a bright orange fish. When it dries you can add a yellow streak inside the orange towards the middle area and bottom. If you want a bolder look then instead of blue use a black nail polish and also outline the body and eyes of the fish.
The Cupid look
Coat your nail thinly with white nail polish. Then cover it with pink when it dries. Use a darker shade of pink on the top and bottom of the nail to get a shaded effect. Make a cupid in red. You can trace a cupid from clipart available on the net.
You can use glitter, lace or foils to make your nails stand out.
