Barrettes: If planning a hairstyle for a special or formal occasion a barrette will come in handy. Just comb your hair to one side and pin a barrette to it. Voila, you are ready. Not only is this style easy to create, but it is extremely glamorous and transforms you into an instant celebrity.
The more intricate the barrette, the more beautiful you will look. When choosing a barrette make sure it is not the same color as your hair and that it will stand out.
Do not over accessorize. If you are wearing a jazzy hair accessory, keep other accessories to a minimum and keep your hair as the focal point. It is not necessary that your barrette match your dress as long as it does not clash with it.
Ponytail Holders: With so many hair accessories on the market, a ponytail holder can be far behind. Rubber bands and clips come in trendy patterns and embellishments. The more glitter on the accessory, the more glamorous the look.
Whatever the accessory you prefer, keep in mind that you must choose a hair accessory based on the situation. If you want to spice up your look use a lot of stone and bright colors. Vintage pieces, crystal work, and antique jewelry are good throughout time.
