10 Days Diet and Lifestyle Plan for Acne Free Skin

Well, so have you been haunted with acne, blackheads and blotchy skin all your life? Have you tried every possible cream launched in the market with no relief? You probably might have been to numerous dermatologists who gave you various chemical concoctions and antibiotic pills to pop. If at all, the acne might have disappeared for a brief period but only to come back.

The thing is everything you have been doing till date was only trying to treat the symptoms and not really the problem. It is important to understand that the age-old adage ‘we are what we eat’ is indeed a very true saying. This diet plan would definitely help create a difference to your acne and your overall looks in ten days but the key is to understand that you should make these diet guidelines a way of life because only prevention can be cure.

The Plan –

Wake up early in the morning before sunrise. Step out in the balcony or on the terrace and breathe in the crisp morning air while letting it touch your skin. Brush your teeth and allow bowel movement. Boil fennel and cloves in about 2cups of water for 20 minutes. Turn off the gas and add green tea to it. Cover it with a lid and have it after 5 minutes. Do some yoga exercises especially meant for skin problems along with breathing and relaxation exercises.

Take bath in water boiled with neem leaves. Keep a little aside and add a few drops of tea tree oil to use as an astringent throughout the day. Wash your face with a salicylic acid based soap or foaming face wash. Do not use any oil based cosmetics or moisturizer. You can use a mild moisturizer meant for acne prone skin; but only if you really feel the need.

Have oatmeal for breakfast along with 4-5 almonds (soaked overnight and with skin removed) and flaxseed. Follow it by taking 2 teaspoons of ‘Mahamanjishthadi kada’ in equal quantity of water and 1 herbal neem tablet. Around 11 have any two fruits with an exception of orange. Drink a glass of freshly prepared buttermilk along with a teaspoon of sunflower seeds.

Have lunch between 1:00pm – 2:00pm. Have any vegetable (should not be boiled or deep fried; preferably green) salad and brown rice. Avoid wheat based and yeast based products. So stay away from bread.Have a herbal tea around 4 along with sprouts. You can check out recipes on the web to prepare your own. It would be healthier and far more effective.

Have dinner between 6:00pm – 7:00pm. For dinner it would be best to have soup; preferably lentil soup. Check out the recipe for lentil soup on the web. Follow it by ‘mahamanjishthadi kada’ and neem tablet.If you end up feeling hungry even after this, have some egg whites or sprouts but nothing hard to digest.

Practise good hygiene. Wash your face 4-5 times a day with the soap or face wash. Keep your pillow case and bed sheet absolutely clean. Avoid stress, sleep and wake up in time besides following a proper eating schedule.If you do all this sincerely for at least ten days, you would find a new reflection in the mirror. It would be you but just more beautiful!!
